David C. Fenton
David received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the City
College of New York. He then attended the University of Virginia and received
a Master of Science in Applied Mechanics and a Master of Engineering in
Biomedical Engineering. This engineering background gives David a specialized
skill set which blends nicely with the technology used in advanced prosthetics.
Prior to turning his attention to patient care, David managed and conducted research at the Orthopedic Biomechanic Laboratory (OBL) for the University of Maryland’s Medical School. Results from the OBL’s research, have been published in several peer reviewed scientific journals. It has also lead to improved surgical techniques and product development which has improved the lives of many.
David studied prosthetics at Rutgers University and became an ABC certified prosthetist in 2000. He has received specialized training in a variety of prosthetic products like the Cleg from Otto Bock, the Utah Arm and I-limb to name a few. As Owner/Practitioner of District, David’s goal for his practice is to provide high quality, appropriate prosthetic and orthotic devices with care and compassion.
Jennifer Gatson
Jennifer began her career in orthotics in 1993 during her service in the United States Air Force where she attended and graduated from the USAF Orthotic Journeyman Technical School.
She was certified by the Board for Orthotic Certification (BOC) in 1998 and by the American Board of Certification (ABC) in 2004.
Jennifer has had the opportunity to work in at National Rehabilitation Hospital, were she was able to provide a team approach to her patients health care, something that she believes is vital to ensuring positive outcomes
